Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap rolls;

Yellow sticky traps on a roll for massive catch of flying insects.

During the season, in certain periods, a very large quantity of harmful flying insects might appear. Because of this, the biological balance can be severely damaged. Applying the Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap roll will lead to a massive catch of these insects.

Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap roll is actually: a roll of sticky traps. This roll (like the ordinary Bug-Scan) consists of yellow recyclable plastic, provided with glue on both sides. This glue is non-toxic, water-resistant and does not dry out in warm circumstances. The colour is selected because it is very attractive for most flying insects. That is why they are eager to land on the plastic; they get stuck on it and finally die. The Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap roll is 100 m long and 5, 10 or 30 cm wide. On both sides of the roll, there is a border of 2 cm without glue which facilitates its placement. Each roll has a non-sticky part at the beginning which makes unrolling it a lot easier. (This part can be cut off later if necessary)

The Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap roll is mostly used in protected cultures in order to catch the harmful insects. Bug-Scan sticky trap roll can also be used in open air, in areas where there is practically no sand in the air.

For many years we are using with great success the Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap rolls in our gerbera propagation house.
Every insect you catch can't reproduce, which means that you use less chemicals.

Several applications;

* Catching flying insects which enter through windows and/or doors.

* Place the Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap roll close to these places so that entering insects are immediately attracted and caught by the roll. (Pay attention!! Do not place the roll too close to windows and doors. This might lure the insects inside)

Catching harmful insects on the plants.

Place the Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap roll as close to the top of the plant as possible. When working in the vegetation, the insects will fly away and get stuck on the roll (Pay attention!! This way, you can also catch beneficials. Therefore, place the roll at least 20 cm above the plant). Take care of it that Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap roll does not obstruct staff or any later activities. Do not replace the roll often.

Good to know;

* Make sure that the rolls are on room temperature before they are rolled of.

* Glue that is stuck on your hands, is not easy to remove. Use good quality soap. Dirty material can be cleaned with a detergent like white spirit.

* When applying biological control in protected cultures, the biological balance can be disturbed by an influx of flying insects. Using a Biobest Bug-Scan sticky trap roll can largely solve this problem.
